What you can ask

Why do my players stand around so much in sessions?

Every minute your players spend waiting is a minute they are not developing. Standing in lines. Watching you move cones. Listening to explanations while the ball sits still.

Should I ask my players questions or tell them what to do?

Even when praising something a player does that was positive, ask questions first to check their understanding. 'Great pass - why did you choose that option?'

What should a player development plan look like?

The plan does not need to be complicated. A handful of specific things to work on, why they matter, and a rough way of checking progress later in the year is enough. What matters is that it exists in writing and the player has a copy, not that it looks like a professional academy document.
